Evan is from the coastal town of Monterey, California. His interest in wine took root at Stanford, where, besides his studies in Economics and International Relations, he joined (and ended up managing) one of the university's splendid wine education programs. Since then he has worked extensively in the the worlds of wine, travel and hospitality, as well as in finance and business management. He joined the Rubissows with the mission of expanding customer relationships throughout Northern California and beyond. The Rubissow ethic of authentic, classic winemaking blends well with Evan's own interest in enjoying and sharing wines that speak of terroir and legacy. Besides his work in wine, Evan climbs boulders, works with animals, speaks french, avoids television, loves music and film, all while sharing good food and wine with friends and family.
